For this 30-day project you will need a chick hatching kit, easily assembled by the instructor. Contents include fertile eggs, an incubator, chick feed, thermometer, heat lamp and cardboard box. These items can be purchased at a local feed or supply store.
This project includes a video and project manual.
"So, You're On Your Own"
The "So, You're On Your Own" project is designed to each children how to be safe. It gives specific advice at home, in public or any situation where children are away from home (walking to school, in parks, stores, and other public places.)
There are many interesting activities related to this project that form a natural opening for classroom discussion and lessons on the value of personal safety for safety.
It includes a video and project manual.
Youth Recycling Project
The Youth Recycling Project is an educational, hands-on project
that instructors and youth leaders can use to teach youth about
recycling. In this program, you have an opportunity to learn
about the many aspects of recycling, from why we recycle to what
is recyclable; where we take our recyclable goods and what happens
in the recycling process.
The video show the processing of recycled goods, demonstrates how to organize recyclables and gives suggestions for group fundraising and profit making. The manual discusses how to contact your local recycling center, how to pack recyclables and teaches project record keeping.
The Recycling Project is a viable project for youth and organizations interested in improving our environment and gives an alternative to conventional fundraising.
Youth Fitness Walking
The Youth Fitness Walking Project video provides an excellent
opportunity to put health education to work. You may want to
use this project to motivate young people, reduce childhood obesity,
or apply it in conjunction with a smoking prevention program.
There are many interesting activities and opportunities related
to this project. It also provides an excellent topic for demonstrations,
bulletin boards and class reports.

Oak Tree Project
The Oak Tree Project video provides volunteer leaders and educators
with teaching material for instructing youth. In this project
you have an opportunity to learn how oak trees grow, how they
fit into their environment, and how they react to different cultural
practices. The video demonstrates proper planting practices,
selection of acorns, and care of oaks. The eight page project
manual identifies oak varieties, gives project opportunities and
teaches project recordkeeping.
