Once accepted into the Master Gardener training program, participants are encouraged to volunteer for Master Gardener projects. Opportunities abound. Typical activities that volunteers chose to do include:
§ Being a greeter or garden aide on Open Garden Days
§ Staffing the Help Desk and Help Line
§ Assisting with newsletter production
§ Conducting gardening related demonstrations
§ Supporting the children’s activities at the
§ Helping with watering/weeding at the
§ Participating in the Speakers Bureau
§ Staffing Plant Sales at
§ Serving on the Master Gardeners Board of Directors or on committees
§ Helping with school garden projects
§ Coordinating publicity for all Master Gardener activities
