Recent talks at the Demonstration Garden Include:
A New Perspective on Roses – October 2008
This program focused on how gardeners can make better decisions when selecting roses for foothill gardens as well as proper rose care and how to protect roses from deer and other pests. The benefits of locally found/rescued heritage roses were discussed, some varieties were offered for sale and a demonstration showing how to make wire planting baskets was given.
