Demonstration Garden in San Andreas, CA

The Calaveras County Master Gardener Demonstration Garden is located at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas, CA.

Fall 2008 DG events

In September 2002 this 0.6 acre plot was designated for Master Gardener use by the Board of Supervisors. The Demonstration Garden is the main venue for the many educational events and outreach activities provided to Calaveras County citizens by the Master Gardeners and other University of California Extension staff members. Areas of the garden include:  Learning Center, Mission Garden, Orchard, Espalier trees, Succulent Garden, Children's Garden, Vegetables beds, Flower Garden, Herb Garden, Grapes, Heritage Roses, Propagation Area, Water-wise Garden.

Currently the garden is open to the public each fourth Saturday of the month February through November at Open Garden Days where lectures, workshops, children's activities, garden tours and plant problem clinics are held.
