The trained volunteers of the UC Master Gardeners program extend the ability of local Cooperative Extension offices to provide practical scientific horticulture and gardening information to the citizens of California.

Currently, Calaveras County Master Gardener's are focusing on development of the Demonstration Garden at the Calaveras County Governement Center at 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas, Ca. Open Garden Days are held monthly on the 4th Saturday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Gardening workshops are held each day and the public is welcome to tour the garden, get advice from on-duty gardeners and attend all educational events. Plant Sales are held twice a year at the Demonstration Garden.The Spring Plant Sale is usually held in April and the Fall Sale is held the 4th Saturday in September.

Monthly Master Gardener meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month.
